12 Ways Offered to Cut Dismissals

Letters to the Editor

TOUCHE TO Sheriff Darren White for trying to lock up career criminals. We all agree it makes sense. Why is it not happening? Well, let's see who is in charge of taking criminals off the street lawyers and judges (former lawyers). And how do they make a living? From crime.
Why would Philip Morris want to stop people from smoking? They don't. Why would lawyers and judges want to cut crime? They don't. Same reason. Until we get mad enough to demand the maximum sentence for criminals, don't expect anything to change.
The underpaid police keep arresting criminals, and the legal system keeps letting them go so they can be arrested and pay lawyers more money your money for public defenders to set them free.
In the meantime, White and crew will fight the good fight, but the windmills will endure. We will lock ourselves in our homes while the criminals run free, and the lawyers and judges nestle in their gated communities with alarm systems and collect their fat paychecks.
